True to its word, Microsoft is introducing the Android app ecosystem to Windows. It’s only being made available to Windows 11 users in the US for now through the Amazon Appstore Preview in the Microsoft Store. This will allow you access to popular apps like Audible, Kindle, Subway Surfers, Lords Mobile, Khan Academy Kids and many more.

In order for users to start using the newly integrated platform, open and update Microsoft Store first by clicking on the Get updates in the Microsoft Store app. Once done, you’ll be granted access to the plethora of apps that are available. Download what you want via the Amazon Appstore. This Android integration has been made possible through Microsoft’s partnership with Amazon and Intel via its Bridge Technology.

According to Microsoft, the newly downloaded Android apps feel like native Windows programs and will play nicely with the UI and Snap layouts. As of now, there are more than 1,000 apps to choose from via the Amazon Appstore. Soon, we’ll have more details on when said Android availability will be made available to users in other countries.
