Fujifilm has introduced its new flagship mirrorless digital camera, the X-Pro3 which builds upon the success of its predecessor, the X-Pro2. It has “Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder” that allows users to toggle between the optical viewfinder (OVF) and electronic viewfinder (EVF). The EVF uses a 3.69-million-dot organic EL panel for enhanced visibility.

It’s a sturdy looking device, made from magnesium-alloy, which is coated with corrosion-resistant titanium, that not only looks good but helps with weight savings. At the back, is a 1.62-million-dot touchscreen LCD screen that can be tilted 180 degrees. It’s a high resolution display that is able to provide wide viewing angles with strong contrast.

The camera also features the back-illuminated 26.1MP “X-Trans™ CMOS 4 sensor and the “X-Processor 4”, which is said to be a high-speed image processing engine. Both are proven tech that can be found in the Fujifilm X-T3 and FUJIFILM X-T30. The company also claims that the camera has an improved algorithm for better phase-detection AF at the minimum luminescence.

The Black & White adjustment function, which was originally introduced with the FUJIFILM X-T3 and FUJIFILM X-T30, has been updated as the “Monochromatic Color” function. It offers the original “Warm / Cool” tone options and the new “Magenta / Green” hue option. The new Grain Effect function allows users to adjust the strength and size of this effect.

This camera also has the Film Simulation function with “Classic Neg”. It simulates color negative film, for high-quality photos with versatile tonal variations. Speaking of quality shots, the X-Pro3 also has a “HDR Shooting” function that combines up to 9 images of a shot and brings them together in a multi-layered collage, users can also adjust exposure of said layers.

Fujifilm will be offering the X-Pro3 to customers in three colours, namely Black, DR Black and DR Silver. The latter two bodies are coated with a surface-hardening technology called Duratect™ to achieve stronger scratch resistance. There are also several accessories that have been made available with the camera such as a leather case and hand grip.
