Honda’s all-new 11th generation Civic is now available for booking. The new car is supposed to offer decent features and handling characteristics in keeping with the legacy of the brand. Though it looks similar to its predecessor, it’s apparent that the new car is less angular and more grown up.

The silhouette has been designed with a better sense of purpose than the “funfair” approach utilized by the previous model. It gets new LED headlights with DRLs that are less pronounced than the outgoing model, which is a good thing. In addition to this, the car also gets new rear LED taillights, which are substantially larger than before but tastefully blend in with rest of the rear panels.

The company claims that the 11th gen car will be the most fun Civic to drive, but we will have to wait and see if this holds true. The car was built with an advanced manufacturing technique called Lazer Brazing technology. As a result, it has a sleeker roofline and stronger body rigidity. Overall, it’s larger and wider than the previous model at 4,678mm in long, 1,802mm in wide, with a height of 1,415mm and a wheelbase of 2,735mm.

Honda’s new Civic gets an “enhanced” 1.5-litre VTEC turbocharged engine that produces 182hp and 240Nm of torque. It comes with four drive modes: ECON, Normal and Sport, which you can cycle through by using the drive mode switch. The Civic RS will be equipped with better technology which including the suite of Honda Sensing technology.
