New Samsung PRO Plus MicroSD Cards For Professionals And Consumers

The new PRO Plus microSD and enhanced EVO Plus microSD cards were announced by Samsung Malaysia today. The new lineup of microSD cards offers fast read and write speeds, enhanced durability, and a wide range of capacities that cater to customers’ day-to-day and professional storage needs.

New microSD cards are ideal for expanding storage capacity on mobile devices and capturing 4K Ultra HD (UHD) video and other content with action cameras and drones, even in extreme conditions.

Samsung’s new microSD cards provide six layers of protection, two more than the previous generation, making them able to withstand water, extreme temperatures, X-rays, wear out, drops, and magnetic impacts. Due to the performance of the PRO Plus and EVO Plus microSDs, that are backed by a 10-year limited warranty, users can store data without worrying about either a lack of space or a lack of protection.

This new addition to Samsung’s microSD card lineup is built for content creators who require exceptional read and write speeds. Its read speed is 160 MB/s, while its writing speed comes in at 120 MB/s. There will be microSD cards with 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB capacities.

The EVO Plus microSD is designed for casual users who want a microSD card that stays reliable and stable during daily use. There is a 1.3x improvement in sequential read speed compared to the previous version, with transfer speeds reaching 130MB/s. A microSD card with EVO Plus will be available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacity.
