Night Of The Stars With Galaxy S22 Series
March 31, 2022A competition was held recently in conjunction with the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Series. Named Born of the Galaxy Stars, a total of 22 aspiring filmmakers from all backgrounds participated in this competition, which was endorsed by the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest).
The Galaxy S22 Series, with its array of camera features, lets new and aspiring filmmakers break traditional barriers of filmmaking – by allowing them access to more powerful hardware that fits in the palm of their hands with which they can use to bring their stories to life.
The Nightography Film Teasers showcased the works of four homegrown directors who produced four short stories that were filmed entirely on Samsung Galaxy S22 cameras. A session that followed the short films provided an opportunity for hopeful filmmakers to gain inspiration from the short films’ themes of Fashion, Fitness, Romance, and Music.
With its incredibly dynamic cameras, AI-driven processing, and vibrant displays, the Galaxy S22 Series delivers an experience that transcends the standard mobile experience. The event also featured a hands-on session where guests were not only able to test the phone, they could also experience the Galaxy S22 Series in the Nightography Room, where a theater hall was converted into an immersive multi-purpose experience room.
Born of the Galaxy Stars
Interested filmmakers may also submit a short script that addresses the theme Borderless with Nightography by 17 April 2022 to participate in the Born of the Galaxy Stars film competition.
A galaxy s22 series will be presented to 22 teams who will then shoot and produce their short film with Samsung and Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest). Following that, the winning production will be presented with an award at the opening ceremony of the Malaysian International Film Festival (MIFFest) in July 2022.
The top 3 winners will also be awarded RM8,000 cash, a trophy, and Samsung products for their efforts. During the 5th MIFFest Opening Ceremony, the winner will also have the opportunity to build their network among industry leaders in Malaysia.
