As part of the Reno Series, OPPO has launched the Reno 6 Z 5G and Reno 6 5G, devices that are packed with features and photography capabilities. The sixth installment of the ever-popular smartphone model continues to push the limits of imaging thanks in part t its powerful AI system and intuitive user interface.

“The way we consume entertainment has changed over the years, and the trend is that mobile devices are our preferred platform to get our daily dose of entertainment,” said Garry Gong, Vice-President, OPPO Malaysia. “With it, our customers are able to not only watch high-quality content while on the go, but also create content that is equally amazing.”

A powerful camera with smart AI algorithms
On the back of both smartphones are three cameras, including a 64MP main camera and a 32MP selfie camera. The Reno6 5G and Reno6 Z 5G come equipped with multiple features that are powered by smart AI algorithms, including:

Portrait Beautification Video that can perform subtle and natural edits to photograph videos, removing unwanted skin imperfections while retaining natural features to highlight individuality. By accurately capturing 193 different facial points in video mode, beauty effects can be applied with greater precision and authenticity.

In this series, Focus Tracking is introduced to address blurred, out-of-focus images by automatically identifying and tracking main subjects consistently and steadily, enabling enhanced video auto-focusing.

Portrait with Bokeh Flare can be selected on both Reno6 Z 5G and Reno6 5G. With this feature, Reno6 Z 5G can capture decent portraits with bokeh light effects similar to higher-end cameras. This feature, available for both the front and rear, automatically converts background lights to bokeh light spots and brightens portrait subjects, resulting in well-exposed and detailed pictures.

Bokeh Flare Portrait Video is a feature that provides a pioneering cinematic quality bokeh effect for smartphone videos. It captures portrait videos with bokeh light spots on the background, while trying to capture natural and detailed subjects. Front and rear cameras are both compatible with this feature.

High-performance hardware
Powered by a Mediatek chipset, the Reno6 5G, features Dimensity 900, a 6nm processor-based SoC, while the Reno6 Z 5G is powered by the Dimensity 800U. In the event that 8GB of RAM proves insufficient, users can add 2GB/3GB/5GB of storage to supplement it. Both devices run on 8GB of RAM, and both tablets support OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology.

The Reno6 5G’s battery has a capacity of 4,300mAh, which supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, while the Reno6 Z 5G’s battery is 4,310mAh, and supports 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The Reno6 5G can be charged to 100% in just 28 minutes, while the Reno6 Z 5G requires 49 minutes for a full charge.

The screen is an AMOLED display that measures 6.4-inches. Two sensors provide 360-degree Light-Sensing for optimum auto-brightness adjustment when paired with this display, leading to an improved viewing experience.

Offering an intuitive user experience
In addition to the strong performance foundations, OPPO has optimized the Reno6 5G for a more immersive mobile gaming experience. The Z-axis linear motor provides tactile feedback to help draw you into the virtual world of mobile gaming.

A customized gaming experience can be achieved with advanced features such as Quick Startup, Game Focus Mode, and OPPO’s Hyper Boost 4.0 technology. A number of system-level optimization tools are embedded into the Reno6 Z 5G to ensure best performance as well as a smooth user experience throughout its entire lifespan. Additionally, the Multi-cooling System, designed to prevent overheating, is also present to ensure a better performance.
