OPPO Watch Free: Fitness & Sleep Monitoring Companion At RM449
February 22, 2022OPPO has introduced the world to its latest fitness watch called the Watch Free. It features an oblong face design, which should offer more screen real-estate for important data. It’s a 1.64-inch AMOLED HD display with support for over 40 different watch faces. The watch is fitted with a leather-like, breathable strap that is supposed to offer a good level of comfort.
The entire watch weighs 33g and is available in two colors: Vanilla and Black. There’s a 6-axis motion sensor built-in and optical heart rate sensor that supports over 100 sport modes. The algorithm automatically detects the type of sport mode a user is engaged in, then tracks it accordingly.
This negates the need to have to set the individual modes yourself. The 24-hour heart rate monitoring measures heart rate continuously and warns users with a vibration when it detects an irregular heartbeat.
OPPO has invested heavily in the watch’s sleep tech, which it calls OSleep All-Scenario Sleep monitoring, which provides input on the quality of sleep that a user experiences. It provides a thorough analysis before, during and after sleep to provide a comprehensive picture. The sensors work with the software algorithms to detect sleep problems and propose suggestions when possible.
The snoring evaluation algorithm works with the second level SpO2 monitoring via optical SP02 sensor and heart rate sensor to know how much a user snores during sleep. The data and snores of the user will be recorded for review. IN addition to this, the watch is also able to analyze sleep latency, sleep duration, and sleep phases such as deep and light sleep analysis and rapid eye movement (REM) monitoring.

OPPO’s Watch Free is priced at RM449 but if you purchase a new phone at the company’s sale roadshow at Sunway Pyramid (5-6 March), the watch you’ll get said watch for Free. In case you didn’t know the OPPO Reno7 5G and OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G will be priced at RM1,999 and RM2,999 respectively. The OPPO Enco Air2 is priced at RM249.
