With the launch of SleepOS, the world’s first data-driven ecosystem dedicated to sleep optimization, Eight Sleep introduces the first suite of features: Smart Temp Autopilot and Sleep and Health Insights. SleepOS is the brain of Eight Sleep, and it uses multiple data inputs to create an individual AI model for each user based on their sleep patterns, past preferences for temperature, and information from customers.

A sleeping environment is made optimal by SleepOS continuously adjusting the Pod. As another milestone in the company’s mission to transform a regular bed into a platform for advanced health, SleepOS represents another important development.

Eight Sleep recently announced its strategic investment round that included participation from over 40 celebrities, entrepreneurs, and professional athletes committed to developing a complete suite of sleep technologies to help people achieve a better night’s sleep.

Notable investors include Alex Rodriguez (retired MLB athlete and entrepreneur), Kevin Hart (actor and comedian), Kyle Vogt (founder of Cruise), Naval Ravikant (founder of Angelist), Anthony Pompliano (entrepreneur), Kris Bryant (Chicago Cubs outfielder), JD Martinez (Boston Red Sox outfielder), Sophia Amoruso (author and entrepreneur).

Eight Sleep founder and CEO Matteo Franceschetti said, “The era we are entering is one of personalized and digitally effective sleep improvements.” The SleepOS solution unlocks the greatest potential of machine-learning to optimize a customer’s sleep environment and guide them towards achieving their health goals”.

It is the first software system which allows users to customize all aspects of sleep in order to achieve optimal results. SleepOS was developed by Eight Sleep as a proprietary software platform which connects the physical product, machine learning, and algorithms with the end-user experience through its mobile app.

A significant advancement in microclimate regulation: Smart Temp Autopilot
As part of its newest product, SleepOS, the company has created an Autopilot algorithm for its Smart Temp. Smart Temp Autopilot tailors sleeping temperatures based on a personal AI model that takes into account sleep history, past temperature preferences, historical and real-time bedroom temperatures, historical and real-time weather data, and user feedback over time.

If any of these factors change, Smart Temp Autopilot adapts, so you’re always at the perfect temperature. For example: if your room is 3 degrees colder one night, Smart Temp Autopilot will adjust the Pod temperature to be more comfortable. A data logger is embedded in the top surface of the Pod Pro to monitor to key indicators of physical wellness. Users are able to view a daily sleep fitness report and health check delivered by the Eight Sleep app every morning.

Data-driven insights and behavioral change
SleepOS turns the Eight Sleep app into a digital sleep coach for users by providing powerful Sleep and Health Insights. This feature offers individualized recommendations that provide helpful tools to create a positive lifestyle change.

Eight Sleep now offers SleepOS in its app. As a pioneer in sleep performance technology within the health and wellness industry, Eight Sleep uses scientific data to develop innovative products that achieve optimal sleep for people to live better and healthier.

Different people have different needs to improve their sleep health, and SleepOS meets those needs by providing the most relevant insights, educational content, and tools, which are personalized to meet each sleeping profile.

SleepOS, Smart Temp Autopilot, and Insights are now available as software updates for all Pod products. To access, download the latest version of the Eight Sleep app. Learn more at eightsleep.com.
