Samsung has unveiled two new tablets, both of which are based upon existing devices. They are the Tab S7 FE and A7 Lite. The former is a spitting image of the regular Tab S7+, from the industrial aesthetics to the placement holder for the included S Pen. The latter one however, is a miniaturized version of the ever-popular affordable A7 tablet.

Samsung has given the Tab S7 FE a 12.4-inch (2560×1600), TFT panel that is surrounded by relatively thin bezels. The capacious screen should allow for delegant notetaking, sketching or other types of artwork. Remember the Multi-Active Window feature that Samsung likes to boast about? It’s available here too. It allows you to open and use three apps at once by separating them into individual windows.

App Pair, helps you save and quickly relaunch your favourite combination of apps with the help of the aforementioned Multi-Active Window. The Tab S7 FE can be turned into a pseudo PC with the help of Samsung DeX interface and the Book Cover Keyboard. The experience should be similar to that of the Tab S7+, which we thoroughly tested late last year. Check out the review here.

This tablet can be ordered with either 4GB RAM(64GB storage) or 6GB RAM (128GB storage) options. Both support MicroSD card storage with a ceiling limit of 1TB. Regardless of which one you choose, they both come with a 10,090mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging capabilities.

Connectivity options include WiFi5, LTE and 5G. However, the availability of the 5G option may depend on the market you’re in and whether it’s supported by local telco carriers. The Tab S7 FE is available in Mystic Silver, Mystic Black, Mystic Green and Mystic Pink. Expect to see the S Pen included in the box. But the Book Cover and Book Cover keyboard will need to be purchased separately.

A7 Lite

It’s much smaller than the regular Tab A7 with its 8.7-mich (1340×800) TFT screen. Aesthetically, it’s quite similar to its bigger brother but it can be ordered with either 3GB RAM (32GB internal storage) or 4GB RAM (64GB internal storage). This tablet also supports MicroSD card expansion with a limit of 1TB. Juice is supplied via a 5,100mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.

Both the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and A7 Lite will be available in select regions beginning in June. For more information on this, visit www.samsung.com.
