Setel App Can Now Be Used With DuitNow QR Code

The Setel app, which is mostly known its service of hassle-free payments at refueling stations, is now integrating DuitNow QR into its list of features. It’s joining the large ecosystem operated by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet).

Users can use the Setel app to pay at any merchant that has the DuitNow QR displayed as a supported method of payment. All you have to do is scan the QR code and make the necessary payment.

That isn’t all, because sometime this year, users can expect to use their app to send and receive funds using DuitNow and generate their own DuitNow QR for fund transfers into their e-wallet. This would make it more convenient for one to use the Setel app to complete various payments.

Mazlin Erawati Ab Manan, Chief Executive Officer of Setel, said, “The integration with DuitNow QR is a clear demonstration of our commitment to better serve our core customer demographic today – the motorist – while also making Setel more inclusive and accessible to a wider customer base across their retail purchases and other needs.”

Lastly, from now until 31st May 2023, Setel users will earn Mesta points for every payment made using DuitNow. Said points can be used to redeem fuel and other rewards. To use the DuitNow feature, select the “pay” tab on the Setel app homage. Then, tap on scan QR code and place your phone over the DuitNow QR code you intend to use. Enter the amount and submit.
