Take Your TV Experience Outdoors With Terrace TV
August 13, 2020Conventional televisions are kept indoors for obvious reasons. So, what is an outdoor TV? it’s an uncommon sight, seeing a television left out in the open. Well that is the case with the Terrace TV, but what is the different between it an a regular television?
It comes as no surprise that the Terrace TV is another one of Samsung’s unconventional inventions. As of late, the Korean giant has continued to push the boundaries and doesn’t seem bothered about breaking with convention. Now, the Terrace TV is a conventional looking television meant to be placed out in the open, where family members are enjoying a BBQ or having a party ouside with close friends.
It offers the same experience as a regular TV but in different range of conditions. Like our smartphones, it is exposed to intense sunlight, and in order to actually see what’s on the screen, the brightness has to be cranked all the way up! That’s why the Terrace TV delivers an average brightness of 2,000 nits and the peak can be 4,000 nits.
This will allow users to watch TV outdoors without worrying about poor picture quality. It is fitted with a QLED display that is coated with anti-reflection technology. This helps it deliver better adaptive picture features that automatically optimizes the output to compensate for any lighting conditions.
The Terrace is a smart TV that runs Tizen, which is Samsung’s own open-source OS. It supports various video streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+. In addition to this, there’s also additional support for Apple TV and Airplay 2. Besides WiFi support the Terrace TV also has a LAN port, which offers a better and more stable connection to the internet.
Here’s what you need to know:
