The Premiere, A TV-Like Projector For Your Home

One of the main allures of having a projector instead of a conventional TV, is the ability to recreate a “theatre-like” experience. Samsung’s Premiere aims to take this to the next level with “dramatic” picture quality and “immersive” surround sound. It has the ability to create a far bigger screen than the average TV by using any blank surface.

Unlike conventional projectors, which need a few meters distance between them and the wall they’re aimed at, the Premiere doesn’t have such limitations. Instead, it can be placed almost at any distance to produce decent picture quality. It can produce a screen size of up to 130 inches even when placed just 23.8cm away from a wall.

Setting up the Samsung Premiere is easy. All you have to do is switch it on and connect it to your wireless network. It is said to offer one of the easiest user experiences of any projector. It also negates the need for calculating the ideal distance from the wall, which makes it extremely user friendly.

The Premiere is supposed to over vibrant 4K picture quality thanks to the incorporation of industry leading TV technologies. It uses triple laser technology that recreates colors more accurately, produces less heat and offers a longer service life. Besides this, its picture quality isn’t as susceptible to ambient lighting as that of conventional projectors.

It’s a HDR10+ projector that offers a maximum brightness of 2,800 ANSI lumens. According to Samsung, this is enough to ensure that its picture quality remains constant regardless of the level of ambient lighting. You could use it in the middle of the day with direct sunlight shining into the room but still haven’t to worry about losing clarity.

This projector also has a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, which allows it to display subtle contrasts and detailing in darker images. This is supposed to allow for a more immersive experience especially for darker movie scenes. Casting your movies to this projector is very easy too. All you have to do is tap your Samsung Galaxy smartphone on the side of the Premiere.

Samsung has equipped this projector with a 4.2 channel, 40W built-in speakers that are able to project sound in a manner that allows it to cover more ground. It uses Samsung’s proprietary Acoustic Beam technology to maximize sound from all angles, emitting sound from 44 holes placed on both sides of the projector.
