AnkerMake M5: Anker’s First 3D Printer With Bold Claims

April 6, 2022 Off By Naveen Victor

Anker is dipping its toes into the 3D printing market with the introduction of the AnkerMake M5 3D Printer. Though the company’s known for producing efficient and portable quick chargers, it is attempting to take on established players with bold claims about its machine, which includes the ability to cut print times by 70%.

Important information:

  • Integrated Modular Design
  • HD Touchscreen
  • 0.1mm detail
  • Hub to connect multiple devices
  • 7×7-Point Auto-Leveling
  • PEI Soft Magnetic Plate
  • LED, Audio, and App Alerts
  • Broken Material Detection
  • Print Resumes After Outage

It has the ability to print at 250mm/s due to the following:

  • Y-Stepper Motor with high-subdivision drivers improve torque and stability.
  • Double-Belt that provides even power distribution.
  • Advanced algorithms that align your printing with your course of action.

The company also says that said printer offers good accuracy because of a shortened distance between the extruder and nozzle as well as the double-gear extrusion and aluminum-alloy die-casting base. They work together to ensure that errors are reduced to improve print quality.

In addition to this, the printer is also fitted with a camera. It uses AI recognition (1.2GHz Double XBurst®2 Core and XBurst®0(240MHz) that compares the printed product with the original design in real time to ensure accuracy. Said camera can also be used to keep tabs on the printing work from wherever you are or create time lapses for social media thanks to the AnkerMake app.

The printer can be controlled via said cloud app, slicing software or smart home assistant. Models can be directly important, and the software then tells the printer what to do. The AnkerMake M5 3D printer is being made available via a Kickstarter program, which is odd for an established brand like Anker.
