The PRIME+ Edition Refrigerators
January 20, 2022A new Panasonic refrigerator range, PRIME+ EDITION, features technologies designed to help consumers live a healthy and active life. A new refrigerator line including two technological advances, PRIME FREEZE and nanoe X, emphasizes freshness and hygiene, two of the most critical aspects of food storage.
“As a result of our commitment to improving quality of life, we introduce PRIME+ EDITION. In addition to being designed to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our refrigerator’s superior ability to keep food fresh and hygienic is also designed to reduce food waste. “That’s what we mean by innovative technologies,” said Kensuke Miyaji, General Manager of Panasonic Corporation’s Overseas Marketing Division.
“Our new flagship refrigerator, the Panasonic PRIME+ EDITION, is the next evolution of Panasonic’s premium design. Based on the sophisticated tastes of our customers, we designed this refrigerator – equipped with Panasonic’s proprietary health and hygiene technology – to provide the complete kitchen appliance,” said Ray Tan from Panasonic Design KL.
Panasonic’s PRIME+ EDITION line now offers PRIME FREEZE, Panasonic’s first frost-free technology that freezes food up to five times faster than standard freezing. There are three modes of operation: Rapid Freezing which seals in texture and flavour, Quick Cooling and Cool Down which allow for faster cooking by reducing thawing time.
Panasonic also introduced nanoe X from Panasonic original technologies, which inhibits nearly 99.99% of bacteria, reduces pesticides on vegetables, and reduces odor. In nanoe X, 4.8 trillion bacteria-eliminating molecules called hydroxyl radicals are emitted from the air to keep food fresh. These molecules are born from the moisture in the air.
PRIME FRESH, existing in the PRIME+ EDITION refrigerator, disables deterioration and bacteria growth by soft freezing meat and fish at -3°C to keep food fresh for up to seven days. This method allows nutrients and flavors to be retained while preventing oxidation and damaging cells. It is four times faster than conventional refrigeration.
