Samsung has outdone itself this year. Despite the uncertain global economic climate caused by COVID-19, The Korean smartphone maker pushed on, undeterred. Over a span of just a few months, the company released a slew of decent smartphones, bound to entice many who are looking to purchase a new smartphone.

But there’s one device in particular that has piqued out interest. And that’s the FE or Fan Edition of the S20 line. The last time we heard of the FE moniker was several years ago, back when the Note 7 FE was launched. And in that particular instance, the FE designation was used to undo some of the PR damage caused by the Note 7’s ‘sketchy’ battery behavior.

However, the S20 line do not have any inherit flaws to them. And in spite of this, we still received the FE version. Samsung says that the phone is a culmination of several desirable attributes of the S20 phones, packaged with a more attainable price tag. As such, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 865, 6GB or 8GB RAM, decent 12MP cameras and 4,500mAh batteries.

It’s basically the best compromise between the smaller S20 and the S20 Plus. It offers a middle ground for customers who aren’t willing to splurge for the bigger phone but aren’t too happy about rocking a 6.2-inch display. And though many regard the S20 FE as an afterthought, the subtle differences make it a worthy prospect for bargain hunters.

We will definitely give the phone a thorough test once we get our hands on one. Until then, stay tuned for more on GizmosChamber.com
