Viotek’s Ultra-Wide Monitor Maybe The WFH Tech You Need

Many of us have migrated to a ‘Work From Home’ arrangement to ride out this tumultuous year caused by COVID-19. And as such, our home tech, have become our office appliances. This includes the home PC/laptop, which has to cope with video conference calls, productivity and entertainment.

This means that the dinky 19-inch monitor lying in the den won’t cut the mustard. What you need is something like Viotek’s SUW49DA ultra-wide (49-inch) gaming monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate. The newly launched monitor has a 5120×1440 resolution that offers enough real estate to accomplish just about anything. It’s basically two monitors combined to form a single continuous display.

Viotek says that it’s extremely responsive and its VA panel produces deep blacks, clear whites and rich RGBs, ideal trait for both work and play. The monitor also has an integrated Blue Light Filter that helps protect your eyes and reduce fatigue when staring at the screen for extended periods of time.

The SUW49DA comes with an adjustable stand if you prefer to keep it on a table. But it also has a VESA mount, which could prove useful if space is an issue. The company says that this monitor is optimized for features like AMD FreeSync as well, but that depends on how useful you find it. The SUW49DA retails for $979.99 on the company’s website, and is backed by a 3-year warranty and zero dead pixel policy.
