A Smarter Charger With Universal Compatibility

We consider our phone chargers essential items, especially those that are equipped with fast charging technology. But most of them are only able to charge one device at one time. This isn’t the case for the Hama 65W USB charger, which is equipped with a USB-C and USB-A ports. It can charge devices connected to both of them at their maximum allowed charging speed.

“Devices connected to the USB charger are automatically recognized and charged at the maximum charging speed. This saves battery life and prolongs its service life. The charger is also protected against overcharging, overvoltage and short circuit,” said Hamas range manager Daniel Langer.

The charger contains integrated gallium nitride (GaN) technology that works with maximum efficiency and low heat generation. The device is also 60% smaller than conventional chargers yet can outperform them. It supports Power Delivery and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 technology, which allows for better charging speeds.

The Hama 65W charger has a maximum output power of 65W (USB-C 65W PD, USB-A 19.5W QC 3.0) as well as specified output voltages or output currents of 12 V / 3 A, 15 V / 3 A, 20 V / 3.25 A, 3 , 6 to 6 V / 3 A, 5 V / 3 A, 6 to 9 V / 2 A, 9 to V / 1.5 A and 9 V / 3 A. In addition to this, it supports a voltage input range of 100 to 240V, meaning that it can be used anywhere in the world.

Phone chargers may soon be omitted from new phone packages. Apple has already done it with its iPhone 12 range, and there’s a good chance that Android manufacturers will soon follow suit. Click here to read our article on the topic.
