Alienware 25 & 27 Monitors Feature A Place To Hang Your Headset

Alienware has announced two new gaming monitors that aim to please gamers at every level. The Alienware 25 (AW2523HF) and the Alienware 27 (AW2723DF) are touted as being among the fastest on the market that promote smooth gameplay. The company has designed both of them to have industrialized aesthetics.

Despite the subtle differences between the two, they both feature a retractable hanger at the top, that’s meant for you to hang your gaming headset. This and the minimalist base are designed to promote a clutter-free environment to allow users to better focus on the actual gaming experience.

The company claims that the 25 has been designed based on the feedback it received from pro gamers. This is the reason for its redesigned hexagonal base, meant to minimize its footprint and allow for better mouse movement.

This monitor has an IPS, FHD panel with a 360Hz variable refresh rate with a 0.5ms response time. Smooth, stutter-free gameplay is made possible with either AMD FreeSync or VESA AdaptiveSync. Alienware says that 25 should go on sale this month, however the company has yet to reveal how much it will actually cost.

The larger monitor of the two, this 27-inch model has a 240Hz variable refresh rate and 1ms response. It’s QHD panel that supports AMD Free Sync Premium Pro technology, NVIDIA G-Sync and VESA AdaptiveSync.

Its InfinityEdge screen with IPS Nano Color technology is supposed to display vibrant colours across a wider viewing angle compared to regular monitors. The 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage and VESA DisplayHDR help create a richer output. Creator Mode presents allows users to choose between DCI-P3 (native) and sRGB colour spaces or adjust gamma levels.

The monitor also features AlienFX lighting, 360-degree ventilation, adjustable stand and improved cable management. Like it’s smaller sibling, we still don’t know what it costs but that should change once we approached its early September “availability” date.
