Aloft Hotel KL Sentral Offering VR Experience Rooms

Staying at a hotel is becoming more than about getting a good night’s rest. Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, located in the heart of the city, is making the experience of staying in it a lot more interesting. It’s introducing the first of its kind, XR (Extended Reality) hotel experience.

This has been made possible by the collaboration with PICO, the XR tech company behind the relatively affordable virtual reality headsets. Limited to just 50 top floor rooms, guests who choose to book the “XR Exploration Room” package promotion will get to experience the full XR experience which includes using PICO’s XR gear.

The XR Experience rooms will only be available to book from 17th October onwards with stay dates between 1st November to 31st December 2023. Guests who choose to stay in said rooms will get to access the curated selection of 15 different games and apps that have already been downloaded onto the XR gear.

Regarding the tie up between PICO and Aloft Hotel KL Sentral, Allen An, Regional Director of PICO Southeast Asia, said, “This collaboration outlines PICO’s intention to bring the virtual reality experience beyond the comforts of home. It is also an opportunity for people who aren’t normally exposed to XR to have first-hand experience to emerging technologies and hopefully this will broaden their horizon to explore further.”

Rooms that offer the XR experience are priced from RM580+, available from 1st November until 31st December 2023. Those who do book a stay at Aloft’s XR Exploration Room, will also stand a chance to win a PICO 4 All-in-One VR headset worth RM 1,699. Additionally, a total of RM 1,000 worth of Lazada vouchers will also be given away that can be used to purchase the PICO 4 All-in-One VR headset online.
