Apple provides VA healthcare info with iPhone app

Here’s some good news for veteran. Apple and the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced the availability of the Health Records app on the iPhone. The VA gradually launched Health Records to select patients this summer. Veterans who are using iOS devices will receive their care through the Veteran Health Administration. they will received more comprehensive benefit regarding information from multiple providers.

The VA is the largest medical system in the United States, which supports more than 9 million veterans across 1,243 facilities, including hospitals and clinics. VA has joined Johns Hopkins, University of California San Diego, Quest Diagnostics, Allscipts and 400 other health care provider organisations. This also includes laboratory networks and electronic health records vendors who are giving full corporation on Health Records on the iPhone.

By logging into their providers’ patient portals with the Health app, veterans can view the full details of their health records which also includes medications, immunizations, lab results and more. The app will update accordingly to allow VA patients access to a single, integrated snapshot whenever they want.

Apple is providing better features to ensure their customers are fully protected. All data of the Health Records are encrypted and protected with the user’s iPhone passcode, Touch ID or Face ID.
