DJI Action 4 Now Available At RM1,899

DJI has launched the Osmo Action 4, the company’s latest GoPro rivaling action camera meant to accompany adrenaline junkies and adventure enthusiasts. It boasts amazing image quality in varying lighting conditions as well as having the ability to smoothen shakes and vibrations. All this is packed into pocket sized device that costs RM1,899.

The camera has 1/1.3″ image sensor, wide f/2.8 aperture, and 2.4μm-equivalent pixel size. It can shoot
4K/120fps and provides a 155° ultra-wide FOV. Due to features like 360°HorizonSteady stabilisation modes, including RockSteady 3.0/3.0+ for FPV footage and HorizonBalancing or HorizonSteady for horizontal shots, the action camera can capture high-quality, yet stable footage regardless of what you’re doing with it.

That said here are a few points to consider:
– The 120fps high frame rate is applicable to 1080p, 2.7K 16:9, and 4K 16:9 video specifications.
– The 155° FOV supports up to 4K/60fps video recording and requires stabilisation to be turned off.
– 10-bit colour is only supported under the D-Log M colour mode.

10-bit D-Log M colour mode provides over one billion colours and a wide dynamic range that should allow for more flexibility when editing content. The color temperature sensor tries to No suggestions match reality as much as possible regardless of whether you’re shooting outdoors, indoors, or underwater.

DJI says that the Osmo Action 4 offers 2.5 hours of battery life. And due to the fast-charging capability, it can regain 80% of its battery charge in just 18 minutes of being connected to the charger. Said battery is also built to withstand extreme temperatures, so you shouldn’t have to worry about diminishing battery performance while recording.

The Osmo Action 4 features a magnetic quick-release design to allow for quick changes between configurations. Its water-stain-resistant touchscreens prevent the need to keep your hands dry while operating them. DJI says that the camera can withstand being dunked into water for up to a depth of 18 metres without a case. This makes it ideal for underwater recording without much fuss.

Besides this, the customization modes and Quick Switch button allow for convenient transitions between shooting modes. The audio capturing capabilities are due to the three built-in mics and stereo recording abilities.
