DJI’s Mini 4 Pro May Be Small But Still Packs A Punch

DJI has introduced the Mini 4 Pro, its latest compact drone meant to be the “ultimate companion for enthusiasts”. Weighing 249g, it’s been designed to be extremely portable yet complies with various drone regulations.

Despite its size, the Mini 4 Pro features a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, a new image-processing platform and dual native ISO fusion. The camera offers a f/1.7 aperture, 48MP image resolution, 4K/60fps HDR video and 4K/100fps Slo-Mo capability.

Using True Vertical Shooting, users can take on portrait-oriented shots for both images and videos for a more versatile experience. DJI says that due to its enhanced noise reduction algorithm, you should be able to capture cleaner footage even in low-lighting conditions.

The digital video zoom allows for 2x photo magnification and 4x video zoom, which isn’t ideal for clarity, but it’s a nice option to have. There’s professional-grade prost-production control using 10-bit D-Log M recording, which provides access to over a billion colours.

Users can preserve details of their shots with the 48MP RAW and SmartPhoto technology. It’s a fusion that harmonizes HDR imaging, scene recognition and more, so that you can capture amazing footage with relative ease.

Like its siblings, the Mini 4 Pro ensures ab easy flying experience through omni-directional obstacle sensing. It uses multiple wide-angle and downward vision sensors to detect obstructions from all directions. Its Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS) allows for automatic braking and obstacle bypass features.

On a full charge, DJI says you can expect up to 34 minutes of flight time, which can be extended to 45 minutes with the use of Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. the company’s O4 video transmission offers reliable flight control and smooth 1080p at 60fps video transmission at distances up to 20km.

DJI believes that you can enhance the shooting efficiency with Waypoint Flight’s automatic route function and reduce operator fatigue with cruise control for lengthy yet stable flights. Once you’re done for the day the Return-to-Home system automatically guides the drone via a safe path back, with better control through the AR RTH feature.

The Mini 4 Pro offers Spotlight, point of interest and Active Track 360-degrees, which are three methods to bypass obstacles and achieve smoother tracking. DJI says that this enhances creative possibilities and allows you to achieve more professional footage. You also get the following:
