Google has made several improvements to Chrome OS, making it a boon for productivity related tasks on Chromebooks. Last year, the company added several stylus related features that have been a godsend to some users.

For example, you can easily edit and organize notes or drawings and past images within said notes. They can also be sorted into custom notebooks or pasted into other apps or sent via PDF. The following are some of the more important features that are available to select Chromebooks:

Move a sentence to a different area by circling the content and dragging it to wherever you’d like. The system understands this and makes the necessary change. And if you’d like to erase something, just scribble over it.

If you would like to add a sentence above something you’ve already written, draw a horizontal line and drag said content down to make room for what you’d like to add.

Control the size of the magnified portion of your screen with the magnifier icon. This allows you to make it larger for a zoomed in view or smaller if you’d like to see more content.

Continuous panning allows you to move the cursor and have the rest of the screen follow said movement. You could also use the keyboard key combination ctrl+ alt + arrow keys to achieve the same result.

Compatible Chromebooks will have the built-in capability to notify you if a USB-C cable doesn’t support a connected display or isn’t performing as intended. It will also notify you if the cable doesn’t support the high performance USB4/Thunderbolt 3 standards. This is available to Chromebooks with 11th or 12th generation Intel Core CPUs with USB4 or Thunderbolt capability. Support for other models is forthcoming

Expect more of such features from Google in the near future.
