Hey Bixby!

Bixby was first launched in 2017, as a Voice assistant to help users to streamline tasks with a scalable AI platform that is available at any time and in any environment.

The Bixby Home screen and Bixby Voice have undergone significant transformations that have improved their usability and improved productivity for users, including owners of Samsung smart home appliances, Galaxy smartphones and tablets, and owners of wearables.

Samsung has enhanced the Bixby experience for millions of consumers across the globe with the addition of support for more languages and a suite of new accessibility features. To improve user experience and make its features more accessible, Samsung is taking another step with Bixby.

The AI has become more intelligent and the company seems more committed to providing a better user experience to consumers. And the result is tighter integration between Bixby and Samsung Galaxy smartphones, wearables, and tablets and home appliances as well as reduced effort for users to verbally control their Galaxy devices.

Galaxy users can use their devices easily with the Bixby update, which offers touch-less control. But what do the new updates look like?

Easy Steps Experiences

Samsung has made design adjustments to the new Bixby, bringing more elements of the user interface in line with the Samsung One UI experience.

Though themes originally came in a blue background, Bixby Voice only depends on your device display mode. The ability to scroll horizontally and vertically as well as performance enhancements help move a variety of new commands within reach, making new features more user-friendly.

No need to swipe just glance

New additions including a reading mode and a dark theme are already proving to be crowd-pleasing changes for those using Bixby Voice. Latest update merged the options for recommended, trending, and the Bixby Marketplace into the same menu so users can search for new Bixby capsules with voice commands.

The simplified structure allows you to see the most important information you need with just a glance, so swiping through different cards or menus is unnecessary.

Less Interruption

With Bixby, you don’t have to interrupt your flow while browsing the web or watching a video. Bixby Voice no longer covers the whole screen, taking up only the lower third of the display to allow you to speak your commands without quitting your current app.

You can see fewer interruptions on your screen when you are gaming or checking a map to find your destination. Also for the voice attribute, the icon changed from the Bixby symbol to a bar, which expands as you talk and lay out a more modern and dynamic look.

Use the best commands

With the latest update, Bixby feels more personal with customized voice command suggestions based on past usage and the ability to do the same on other Bixby-enabled devices.

The new tailored experience recommends a variety of apps and services, enabling you to find more ways to use Bixby and customize your Galaxy experience. Utilizing the popular voice commands that are trending among other Galaxy users and with hint commands in Bixby Capsules, it gives Bixby a fighting chance against the competition.
