Marvel’s Avengers Available On PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia
September 6, 2020The latest additions to the Marvel’s Avengers game has finally made it onto gaming platforms. The enthralling saga of superheroes from the Marvel universe come together in this epic game. It combines combines the single player focused Reassemble story campaign with the ongoing Avengers Initiative’s War Zone missions.
The missions take the characters around the world and beyond, as the story progresses. Each mission in the Reassemble campaign is designed to showcase the characters’ unique abilities. However, the Avengers Initiative missions can be played solo with custom AI teams or with a group of up to four players.
“At its heart, Marvel’s Avengers is a game about hope in a modern Super Hero setting,” said Shaun Escayg, creative director for Marvel’s Avengers at developer Crystal Dynamics.
Over time, the narrative of Marvel’s Avengers will continue to expand as a continuing stroyline. This will inlcued the addition of new stories featuring new heroes, villains, mission types, regions, items, and more. The best part about this expansion series is that, they are free of charge, as long as players own the main game.
Fans of the game will get to experience the new content anytime soon, the first post-launch content begins just weeks after launch with mysterious new Tachyon missions. “Taking AIM’ begins shortly after the conclusion of the game’s Reassemble campaign and is just the first half of the two Hawkeyes’ Story Arc.
Players are also given the ability to customize the game’s characters in a number of ways. Each superhero has thhier own unqique power sets, but they also have the flexibility to play different based the gear that they have the skills that are enabled.
Each character has their own dynamic combo systems, heroic moves, intrinsic abilities, and signature move sets that can be unlocked and customize. Players can even dress them in classic, fan-favorite, and all-new original outfits, including Iron Man’s suit from the 2014 Original Sin storyline, or Thor’s Donald Blake identity.
Marvel’s Avengers will be available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. Players who own the current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen one at no additional cost, regardless if they are migrating from the PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X.
Those who are switching to the next-gen version, will be happy to know that their game saves will be transfered over, including thier profiles and progression, so they can pick up right where they left off.
In addition to this, cross-gen play will be supported, so players with Sony consoles will be able to play alongside thier Microsoft Xbox counterparts, without running into compatibility issues. It’s a pretty interesting take on the multiplayer environment.
