MINI Malaysia Introduces Stylish New Additions to MINI Electric Resolute Edition
May 5, 2023MINI has unveiled two new stylish additions to its popular MINI Electric Resolute Edition, catering to the growing demand for electrified MINIs in the country. Limited to only 90 units, these new variants offer striking colorways that enhance the appeal of the all-electric MINI 3 Door.
Sashi Ambi, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at BMW Group Malaysia, expressed enthusiasm about the new releases, stating, “With the increasing passion for electrified MINIs among our customers in Malaysia, we are delighted to introduce these exciting new colorways for the MINI Electric. These designs have been curated to suit diverse, independent styles. The MINI Electric Resolute Edition aligns with our vision of offering stylish appeal to Electrified Mobility while retaining the iconic go-karting thrill of a MINI, without the emissions.”
In addition to the existing Rebel Green color option, the MINI Electric Resolute Edition now comes in two new captivating paint finishes: Enigmatic Black and Nanuq White. These fresh color choices lend a striking touch to the well-known MINI Electric.
Departing from the traditional chrome elements in the exterior design language, the Resolute Bronze is the exclusive finishing for hallmark design features. This includes the surrounds of the headlights, radiator grille, rear lights, side scuttles on the front side panels, and the handles of the doors and tailgate. The lower edge of the windscreen is finished in Piano Black, along with the inner frame of the radiator grille, brand logos, and the model inscription.
The MINI Electric Resolute Edition stands out with its distinctive appearance, further enhanced by exclusive bonnet stripes in a unique design. These stripes, along with the door sill trims, feature a gradient pattern that transitions between light and dark shades of gold. The word “RESOLUTE” is prominently displayed on these elements. Exclusive features of this edition also include a black Waistline Finisher and 17-inch Electric Collection Spoke alloy wheels.
Inside the MINI Electric Resolute Edition, the seats are upholstered in a Cloth/Leatherette finish with Black Pearl Light Chequered pattern. The anthracite-colored roof liner, along with black armrests and knee rolls, adds to the ambiance of hallmark driving fun. The Nappa leather sports steering wheel features the edition-specific MINI Resolute logo on its lower spoke. The interior surfaces and side sills boast a graphic design with light golden curved lines, forming an exquisite pinstripe pattern.
Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, MINI has incorporated eco-friendly materials in the MINI Electric Resolute Edition. The Cloth Leatherette Black Pearl Light Chequered upholstery is made using recycled PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) bottles. The upper fabric consists of 100% recycled PES (Polyester), and the lining contains approximately 70% recycled PET material, resulting in an impressive recycling rate of around 90.6%.
