On Repeat Playlist Reaches 12 Billion Total Streams

Spotify users across the globe have streamed more than 750 million hours of music since On Repeat made its debut in 2019. This popular playlist has been a favorite of listeners who just can’t get enough of certain songs—even inspiring a social media challenge last year.


Users’ personalized mixes are filled with their most streamed tracks in the past 30 days. And now, they’ve reached more than 12 billion streams globally. On Repeat listeners couldn’t get enough of these songs and artists over the last year, and we’re sharing them with you.

Most On Repeat listeners are between 18 and 24 years old, followed by 25 to 29 year old. And it is the 2010s that are most commonly relived by fans in the United States, followed by the UK, Mexico, Germany, and Brazil.

Besides the streaming milestone, On Repeat is now available for advertising sponsorships in over 30 markets in North America, Europe, Latin America, and APAC. Advertisers can share their messages with Spotify Free users end-to-end via display, audio, or video ads. TurboTax will be the first United States sponsor of On Repeat.
