OnePlus Nord 2T 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G Launched in Malaysia

OnePlus has launched two new phones under its affordable range portfolio, OnePlus Nord. Both smartphones are OnePlus’ first-ever official launches in Malaysia, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to Malaysian customers and enthusiasts.
The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G
The device’s massive 4,500-mAh dual-cell battery can be charged from 1-100% in 27 minutes with the same flagship 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging as the OnePlus 10 Pro. It takes just 15 minutes to provide a day’s power – that’s 120% faster than the original OnePlus Nord.
The Camera
In the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, you’ll find a powerful camera configuration with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 120° ultra-wide camera with 2 MP monochrome. OnePlus Nord 2T 5G uses Sony IMX766 for its 50 MP sensor because it offers a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, 1.0-μm pixels, and support for OIS. In addition, this sensor lets in 56% more light, which means brighter and more detailed photos in dim lighting. Next, it has a 8 MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° wide-angle lens.
The Processor
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G has an octa-core processor that runs at up to 3 GHz. As a result of its 6 nm manufacturing process, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 provides better gaming performance, more efficient power consumption, and much better temperature control. The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is accompanied by up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Display
The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, with a 90-Hz refresh rate. With HDR10+ support, users can watch videos from popular streaming applications such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video with richer and more vivid colours. There are dual ambient light sensors in the front and back of the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G which will adjust the brightness of the display to deliver the best and comfortable visual experience for the users. The phone is pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12, allowing for better multitasking, improved power consumption, and smoother gallery viewing.
The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G will receive 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates to ensure the smoothest and most secure experience.
The Design
Coming in at just 8.2 mm in thickness and 190 weight. It comes in Gray Shadow and Jade Fog.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G Mobile Platform that offers an octa-core CPU with speeds up to 2.2 GHz. The Chipset is 6nm which will help to deliver better efficiency in terms of performance and it’s supported by the Adreno 619 GPU that improves performance by up to 30% from the previous generation.
The chipset supports up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of storage. You can play games, stream videos, and scroll through social media for an entire day with OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite’s 5,000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charger.
The Display
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, has HyperBoost Gaming Engine featuring General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer which provides a good gaming experience. The GPA aims to reduce frame rate fluctuation when gaming on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and works to ensure that, if frame rate drops do occur, they do so gradually rather than quickly.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G also comes pre-installed with OxygenOS 12.1 and will be receiving 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
The Camera
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a triple camera system; the main sensor has 64 MP, offering a large pixel size that allows it to capture sharper, more detailed photos with less blur and noise, especially during low-light photography. With 2MP depth-assist camera to ensure Portrait Mode shots have better depth and clarity, with subjects outlined accurately.
The front camera has a 16 MP camera and it comes with electronic image stabilization (EIS). EIS helps to reduce blurriness caused by external factors like moving vehicles and shaky hands to take clearer and more stable photos and videos.
The Design
There are two colours available for the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G: Blue Tide and Black Dusk. The edges are flatter which, combined with its slim 8.5 mm build, ensure it is comfortable to hold for long periods, both horizontally and vertically.
