Play BTS’ New Story-Based Game
August 19, 2020Netmarble has teamed up with Korean boy band, BTS to create a unique mobile game called BTS Universe Story. As the name suggests, it revolves around the band members whose, in-game progress depends on the choices players make. The game offers two modes, namely Play Story and Create Story.
The former, entails using existing interactive stories that develop as players make choices that shape the narrative. Latter, gives players the ability to create their own stories using in-game production tools. There’s also an AR mode and a Collection function where wardrobe for characters in BTS Universe can be customized.
Prior to the game’s official launch, a special pre-launch “Writer Recruitment” event that will run through August 24th. Here, selected writers will be given early access to the game’s editing tools to create their own stories. They will then be added to the list included in the Play Story Mode of the official release.
In conjunction with the pre-registration, an exclusive video featuring the main characters in BTS Universe has been added on their Official YouTube channel. The teases the game and features a photo of boys with the sea in the background revealing the game’s tagline. Pre-registration for the game opened on August 18th.
Netmarble and BTS came together in June 2019 for the launch of the BTS world mobile game. This year’s BTS Universe Story, will provide fans of the band with hours of entertainment as they decide various outcomes as they progress through story.
