Setel Lite Is Smaller Than The Original App, Meant For Older Android Phones

Setel has released a lighter version of its wallet/payment app called Setel Lite. Meant for older Android devices and ones that have a slower internet connection, it’s able to run on devices with Android 4.4 or EMUI 3 and above. It will also be able to work on EDGE, 2G or 3G connectivity without any issues.

The font and app buttons are larger than what’s displayed on the regular Setel app making it convenient for elderly users to master the app. Setel Lite has a small download size, which should allow it to take up less space on one’s phone.

It has the same functionality of the regular app, allowing you to use Setel Wallet to pay for fuel directly from your phone as well as earn up to 3x Mesra points with each fuel payment. You can also check how many Mesra points you have within the app itself. The Setel wallet can be topped up with cash via e-voucher (available at PETRONAS stations) or through online banking.

Mazlin Erawati Ab Manan, Chief Executive Officer of Setel said, “Setel Lite is an initiative to bridge the journey to a cashless society for customers who are cash-dependent with a lighter version of the app that consumes a small phone storage space and an offline option to top up their Setel Wallet by cash.”
