Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra AI Tech Can Be Used To Translate, Transcribe And Edit Pictures

Samsung’s new S24 Ultra phones lean on AI to accomplish tasks, thanks in part to the company’s collaboration with Google. As such, you can ask the phone to look up anything on screen, translate messages from other languages, in real time, and make changes to pictures in an instant. All these things are now possible with a few simple taps on the screen.

Circle to Search
This allows you to search what’s displayed on your screen, including images, videos or text. Press and hold the Home button to activate the feature. Then draw a circle around what you want to know more about. Google will then go to work to search for relevant information based on that.

Interpreter
The interpreter feature lets you cross-language barriers when conversing with people in different languages and in real time. When enabled, one side of the screen shows the translated audio text of the person you’re speaking to, and on the other side is your part of the conversation translated for them.

Chat Translation
Utilizing both Chat Translation and Chat Assist’s Writing Style tool, you can automatically adjust your messages to make sure you’re using a friendly tone instead of an unintentionally stilted, formal one.

Live Translate
Think of it as your personal translator that works in real time. Available within the native call app, the Galaxy S24 Ultra can translate the words spoken by the person on the other end of the line with minimal delay.

The translation is provided in both text and audio form. The option to launch this feature, Live Translate, is available when you call or receive a call. This feature also works for the person on the other end of the line, regardless of whether they’re using a Galaxy device.

Generative Edit
Instead of relying on an expensive third-party app to edit pictures, the Galaxy S24 Ultra gets the same thing done in a fraction of the time and at no cost to you. If you rotate an image to straighten one up, Generative Edit fills in the newly created blanks in the corners by using outpointing technology.

It extends what’s already there, making the scene look more natural. You can also move subjects in said picture to any position and the Generative Edit fills in the blanks left behind.

This feature may prove useful to edit pictures that were taken in busy areas or weren’t taken in the best “light”. A few simple taps can make them look like they were taken with intent.
