WhatsApp is making changes to how its business service works and the way companies will be able to interact with customers. As of now, the team has managed to cut down the time it takes for a business to set up an account from a few weeks to a mere 5 minutes.

The improvements are supposed to allow companies more flexibility in regard to who they choose to partner with in the future. Businesses both big and small will also find it easier to have conversations with customers on WhatsApp.

But that isn’t all, the company also says that it’s improving how businesses can communicate with customers. Instead of being limited to offering timely reminders to follow up with customers outside of the 24-hour window, WhatsApp will support more types of messages.

But this doesn’t mean that businesses will be able to spam or annoy customers without their consent. Instead, users will still need to reach out to start a conversation or request a business contact via WhatsApp. The control is still with the customer.

There will also be messaging features that help users communicate better. The new list messages present a menu of up to 10 options for responses. Instead of typing a response, users can make a selection from up to three options that a businesses can set ahead of time through their WhatsApp Business API account.

This new update will also provide new ways for users to give better feedback about the experience they are having when choosing to block a certain business. This way, WhatsApp will be able to act on more precise data about problems that users face.

The end goal is to make WhatsApp the preferred way for people to connect with businesses. Instead of having to trawl the internet to find business websites or contact information, WhatsApp Business will allow you to find and contact the respective company within its messaging app.
