Beam Opens Central Warehouse In Subang Jaya

Beam Mobility has launched its central warehouse in Subang Jaya, Selangor, to support its growing operations in Malaysia. The 8,000 square feet central warehouse will provide a steady supply of fully charged batteries and other hardware maintenance to Beam’s fleet of e-scooters in Selangor.

Beam’s existing warehouse network serves as the main distribution, repair, and hardware testing hub in Malaysia, ensuring that its fleet of e-scooters is in tip-top condition and safe for use. With full-time staff, including technicians and supervisors, Beam’s central warehouse will efficiently support its growing footprint in Malaysia.

The company operates in several cities in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Ampang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Kuantan, and Langkawi, and is committed to bringing safe and fun micromobility sharing services to different communities.

Each e-scooter is embedded with a GPS-tracking Internet of Things (IoT) device, allowing Beam to track each vehicle’s systems and alert its team when an e-scooter requires maintenance. These efforts ensure that Beam’s fleet of e-scooters is safe and meets the authorities’ standards for safety.

The Central Warehouse aligns with Beam’s commitment to its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) efforts. In the event of unusable parts during repair work, Beam will actively source reliable partners to safely and appropriately recycle these parts to reduce waste.
