Several of Beam’s e-scooters were damaged along with other parked motorcycles in a fire that happened in front of KLCC yesterday, April 13th. The authorities responded quickly to contain the fire before it could cause any further damage. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

According to Beam, the investigation by the relevant authorities ruled out its e-scooters as the cause of said fire. Despite what many may have speculated, Beam says that its tech and body hardware use aircraft grade aluminum of the highest grades to ensure durability.

The batteries that are fitted to each Beam e-scooter adheres to international safety certifications to ensure they comply with the required standards of safety. That said, not all manufacturers follow the rules and guidelines set by various safety bodies. In the past, this resulted in several incidents of electric skateboards/e-scooters spontaneously catching fire.

However, Beam assures its riders that it gives safety paramount importance. Visit the company’s website to know more about its vehicles and services that it has on offer.
