Chrome OS Gets New Features
March 3, 2020Chrome OS has received two new helpful features that are bound to be well received. Ambient EQ, allows Chromebooks’ screens to adapt to ambient lighting. The program will help adjust the screen’s white balance and color temperature.
Google says that Ambient EQ will help ensure that screen content appear more natural, which should make it easier on your eyes. This feature has been bundled with the latest Chrome OS update, which will make its way to Samsung’s Galaxy Chromebook first, then other machines.
Netflix for Chrome OS has also received an update that allow for the “picture-in-picture” view. This is baked into the latest version of the app, there’s no setup required. It can be activated by switching to another window while a movie is playing.
The entire video shrinks to occopy the lower right quadrant of your screen. This way, you will still be able to get some light work done without missing out on the action. Google also says that it intends on adding more features to Chrome OS in the near future.
