Google Pixel 4a launched: Better Than Predecessor
August 4, 2020The hotly anticipated budget Pixel is here. And unlike the two-tone colour scheme of the 3a, the 4a has an uncomplicated plastic shell that can only comes in matte black, and a mint colored power button. It still retains the rear mounted finger print sensor as its predecessor but now has a blackened rectangle that houses the single rear camera and flash. Said camera has HDR+ with dual exposure controls, Portrait Mode, Top Shot, Night Sight with astrophotography.
On the front, the phone has a pretty decent 5.8-inch OLED screen surrounded by rather thin bezels, a first for a Pixel. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which makes sense considering that the phone’s $349 pricetag means that it is aimed at budget minded buyers. There’s also a few quirky fabric cases to go along with the phone, that are made from recycled materials.
Here are the specifications:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 730/730G
- 6GB RAM
- 128GB storage
- 12.2MP Camera (same as Pixel 4)
- 4K video recording at 30FPS
- 3,140mAh battery
- Titan M Module
Google’s Pixel 4a is probably the best looking phone to come from Google, and its sleek and compact look make it extremely convenient to carry. But the real magic takes place inside. The clever software, including the improved Google Assistant make it an extremely competent phone.
