Google Search Can Help With Science And Math Problems

Google has been steadily improving its underlying framework that makes Search such an effective tool at looking for something online. Now, it can do a lot more when it comes to education. The system can understand search queries related to science and math problems, and look for the relevant answers.

If you were to type “chemical Bonds”, the search results will provide access to educational overviews, useful examples, and helpful videos from across the web. In addition to this, it can provide students with practice problems that they may try to improve their knowledge on the respective subject matter.

Users just need to type “chemical bond practice problems”. Google will then provide you access to learning resources from educational providers like BBC Bitesize, Byjus, Careers360, Chegg, CK12, Education Quizzes, GradeUp, Great Minds, Kahoot!, OpenStax, Toppr, Vedantu and more.

Taking the learning experience a step further, students can take advantage of Google’s AR on mobile system to fully visualize over 200 chemistry, biology, physics and anatomy concepts. They will be able to view 3D models of chemical bonds, interact with them and learn about their various properties.

If a parent or student is having difficulty solving a math problem, all they have to do is type it into the search bar. Google will then go to work, trawling the internet for the possible solutions. For example, type in an equation like “x^2-3x-4=0” and google will give you step by step explanations (supports over 70 languages).

That isn’t all. In the coming weeks Google’s Search will become even smarter. Soon, you will be able to ask questions like “0.50 moles of NaCI are dissolved in 2.5 L of water, what is the molarity?” and get the appropriate answer. The company hopes that these tools will lend students a helping hand and help them learn more effectively.
