Huawei opens its first DIGIX Lab in Asia Pacific

In Singapore, Huawei has opened the DIGIX Lab, its first in the Asia Pacific region, to serve as a platform for mobile app development activities, idea exchange and business growth.

HMS Developer Lab provides a space for developers to connect and experience the full range of developer resources offered by HMS, equipped with AR, VR, AI, HMS Core kits and other open technological capabilities. Developers from across the Southeast can also make use of the DIGIX Lab’s resources online.

As the 5G era becomes a reality, HMS will build an entire ‘1+8+N’ mobile ecosystem and empower the developers and their partners in the region so they can make the most of this new generation of information and communication technologies. Shane Shan, Director of Asia Pacific Huawei Consumer Cloud Service, said that Huawei will strengthen its collaboration with partners and institutions in the community and cultivate a pool of highly skilled people in the emerging field of tech innovation in the region.

In the “1+8+N” Seamless AI Life strategy, the smartphone serves as One (1) point of connectivity, whereas Huawei’s ecosystem partners connect across Eight (8) devices enabled with Huawei technology to build an Endless (N) network. Huawei’s smart manufacturing system (HMS) works in partnership with Huawei’s extensive hardware, software, and cloud computing capabilities to offer integrators an all-in-one solution for AI and IoT solution development.

Experiences Zone
This area displays the latest smartphone models contained in Huawei’s “1+8+N” all-scenario ecosystem, as well as eight different types of Huawei devices including tablets, PCs, smart wearables and VR smart glasses. Also, third party appliances which are supported by HUAWEI HiLink.

Engage Zone
Multipurpose area, complete with training rooms and a collaborative area, which aims to assist communities with building their identities.
This area will be used for events which cater to developer programmers such as workshops and industry networking. Meanwhile, tech enthusiasts or single developers can also book the space to host mobile app-related community events.

Enable Zone
Three meeting rooms host engineers or business teams from Huawei enabling them to provide hands-on support to app developers during the development of an application. The lab also offers four debug terminals to help developers with their resource requirements.

A virtual tour of the DIGIX Lab is available to everyone. In addition to that, you can also access Huawei’s Developer Resources and join their Developer programs and webinar.

Huawei offers several remote services that help developers interact with Huawei devices remotely. These services include Cloud Debugging and Cloud Testing, which enable developers to remotely debug and test run apps on latest Huawei devices including the popular Huawei Mate Series and the HUAWEI P Series.
