LG has a penchant for creating unique kitchen appliances. Now it has added a new color option to its refrigerator with the MoodUp lighting system. It’s called Viva Magenta, which has a crimson red hue. Fridges with this illuminated system are fitted with LED color-changeable on the door panels that can be customized using the LG ThinQ app.

Working together with the Pantone Color Institute, the company has created 23 color options that consumers can use to customize the look of their fridges. If you have the 4-door French-Door model with MoodUp, expect to have more than 190,000 possible color combinations to help match the decor.

“Now with Pantone Color of the Year 2023, Viva Magenta, the refrigerator with MoodUP epitomizes the convenience and customizability of LG’s innovative ThinQ UP appliances,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company.

If the fancy lighting system doesn’t suit your taste, it can be turned off. The Fridge then reverts to the original combination of Lux Gray and Lux White. Built to suit a variety of needs and wants, the LG InstaView MoodUp refrigerator will be on display during CES at the company’s booth (#15501, Las Vegas Convention Center) at CES 2023 from January 5-8.
