New Fabric Cases For Pixel 4a

Introduced alongside the new Pixel 4a, is its purposefully built fabric case. It’s made from 70% recycled plastic and features a jacquard pattern that helps it mask signs of wear. In fact Google, is so confident in its robustness, that it says you can hand wash the case or throw in in a washing machine for thorough cleaning.

It’s part of Google’s green initiative, where it wants to adhere to its sustainability commitments across manufacturing, the supply chain and product design. That is why the Nest Mini speaker is also made from fabric reclaimed from recycled water bottles.

Google says that two recycled plastic bottles can provide enough knitted outer fabric to make 5 cases. If you’re interest, it comes in 3 different colours: Basically Black, Static Grey and Blue. The patterns and textures are complemented by an assortment of pop colours for power button and Google logo.

It’s an interesting design and buying one will help reduce waste that ends up in landfills. But if it doesn’t float your boat, there are various other cases that you can purchase from Google’s partners such as CaseMate, Moment, and Pela.
