If you’ve ever found yourself in a situation where you’re waiting for a friend, or in line at the grocery store you will probably be looking for ways to pass the time. And if Facebook or Instagram can’t entertain you, maybe mobile games are the answer.

Based on experience we have included three such games here that will help you pass the time quickly. They’re completely free and as such are riddled with ads. The paid versions should offer a better experience but with that said, the ads for the free version aren’t very intrusive. As such here are the three games that should help you fill the void.

Johnny Trigger

This aptly named game features a cartoonish figure of a covert operative named Johnny Trigger. His sole mission is to infiltrate the enemy’s liar and kill as many bad guys as possible. The controls are fairly basic, wait for the gun’s laser to point directly at a target before tapping the screen to fire.

You have to take into consideration the time it takes for the bullets to leave your gun and hit the enemies. Despite most of the action happening in slow motion, the act of shooting each bad guy, is a little more challenging than you’d expect.

Each round is quite brief, which is a little disappointing. And after which, you are awarded certain rewards that include cash, weapons and new outfits. The in-game purchases allow you to customize and acquire more items through in-game purchases. But, that isn’t essential.

You can get by effectively with the free stuff. However, this game makes a nuisance out of itself by interjecting with several intrusive ads. If you want an uninterrupted experience, it would be best to purchase the game (~RM12).

After completing a certain number of rounds, you’re faced with a boss fight. Here, you have to tussle with an enemy that is able to withstand multiple gunshots. As such, you have to hit him with as many rounds as possible. Eventually, with enough persistence, you can take them all down fairly quickly.

The game offers hours upon hours of pointless action as you advance throughout the various levels. Johnny Trigger is available for both Android and iOS.

Paper League

Remember the days of Paper Toss? Well this is the modern day equivalent featuring the same fun-loving game that is both entertaining and infuriating to master. The goal is to toss a crumpled piece of paper into a basket, which is placed some distance away. The only obstacle in your way is the wind resistance from a table fan placed nearby.

The game will let you know how fast the wind is blowing and in which direction. Then, it’s up to you to compensate for this and ensure that the crumpled paper makes it into the basket. You’re given three tries, denoted by three coupled pieces of paper placed on the floor.

Once you’ve exhausted two, and somehow manage to survive several rounds, the game rewards you by restoring all three pieces. Though the game may look easy, it isn’t. What’s worse, as you progress to higher levels, the basket is moved further away. As a result, and Depending on how you perceive this, the game provides you with hours of entertainment or torture.

Traffic Racer

This traumatizing game requires quick reflexes to survive an onslaught of vehicles placed in your path. To survive, you need to meander past these vehicles without colliding with any of them. You’re rewarded with extra points if you manage to get as close as possible to said vehicles as you whizz past them.

You need to tilt your phone to steer, but the controls for the accelerator and brake pedals are placed on the screen. There’s also a high beam button that allows you to flash your lights and sound the horn to get the vehicles to move out of your way. But this isn’t very helpful, especially when you’re traveling at high speed.

The game doesn’t penalize you for light grazes with other vehicles, but a head-on collision will result in ‘game-over’ . You have to start off with a basic vehicle. And with it, you’re to survive as long as possible to be rewarded with money. The cash can then be used to upgrade your vehicle or purchase a new one.

The game features some interesting vehicles which includes several high-level sports and supercars. The modifications that you make enable your vehicle to travel at higher speeds, which provide you with even more points at any given time.

There are few game modes to choose from, which are Endless One Way, Two Way, Time Trial, Free Ride, Police Chase and Daily Bonus. Each poses a different challenge that can provide you with hours of entertainment.

That’s it, we hope these games provide you with several wasted hours of unhindered entertainment. For more tech news and features, visit GizmosChamber.com
