Google seems to be perpetually improving the Chrome browser with important features, better stability and fine-tuning the underpinnings to help boost productivity. We’ve already covered several of them relating to tab grouping and organization. But the following focuses on the browsing experience:

Pick Up Where You Left Off with Journeys

Available with the latest update of Chrome for desktops, Journeys lets users revisit their recent browsing history, grouped by topics. To view this, click on the three vertical dots on the top right-hand corner of the Chrome window, then click on History.

From here, the web browser shows you the most recent activity on your machine as well as those on other devices that utilize the same account. Alternatively, you can type the related word into your search bar and click on “Resume your research”. Chrome should then show you where you left off, whether that happened today or several weeks ago.

Get Things Done by Typing in The Address Bar

It’s a nifty feature that Google rolled out with the latest update. It lets you type in commands using the address bar, and then the browser complies, accordingly. Keep in mind that the responses are limited for now and they include the following:

    Manage settings

    Customize Chrome

    View your Chrome history
    Manage accessibility settings
    Play Chrome Dino game

The chrome address bar also tries to help predict what you’d like to search for, which takes a lot of the guesswork out of the entire experience. Google expects to add more of such commands along with support for more languages and the ability to use them with the Chrome mobile app.

Access What You Want from the Android Home Screen

Chrome for Android lets you add three different widgets that help consolidate various features into a single accessible bar. It can be used to start a text search, voice search or access Google Lens and create a search query with pictures. You can also open an Incognito tab from the same widget.

Said Widgets can be placed anywhere on your Android home. Keep in mind that this might differ when moving to different phone brands.
