It is supposed to help you fall asleep to calming sounds and limit interruptions while you sleep. If you happen stay up beyond your regular bedtime, you’ll get a snapshot of how long you’ve been awake and which apps were used during that time. Also, it allows you to wake up each morning to the sound of your favorite track.

The improved Google Assistant lets you start, stop and search for voice recordings with just your voice. The recorder app even lets you save respective transcripts directly to Google Docs, making it easier to share them with others.

Lastly, the Personal Safety app, which was once reserved to Pixel 4, is now available to all Pixel devices. The Car crash detection feature will eventually make its way to the Pixel 3, and when it does, only certain languages are supported for now. Building onto said functionality, Google is introducing a new feature called safety check.

The feature monitors your scheduled check-ins on the app, and alerts your emergency contacts, should you fail to do so. In addition to this, and should you need immediate help, emergency sharing notifies all of your emergency contacts and shares your location with them.

Should you enable the crisis alerts in the Personal Safety app, you will get notifications about natural disasters or other public emergencies when they occur. Should you require more information about this and to know when this update will make its way to you device, visit the Pixel forum.
