LG’s AeroTower Is More Than A Fan, It Cleans The Air That’s Blown At You

LG makes more than just amazing Smart TVs. The company also has the all new PuriCare AeroTower, which is a chic air purifying fan that aims to do more than just keep you cool. It blows air all round it in a 360-degree pattern. The space age look gives it a unique appeal while blending in with the rest of the decor.

It takes on a cone shape that features a dual tone theme. The top section is available in beige and silver. Either option, should prove to be a good match for the subtly grey base. Meant to function as more than just a regular fan, the AeroTower uses cutting edge tech to keep a room cool.

It offers 3 different airflow modes which are Heating, Fan and Diffusion. In Heating Mode, the fan blasts warm air to the surround area and you have the ability to increase this temperature up to a maximum of 30-degreess Celsius. LG says that when kept in this mode, the AeroTower can increase the temperature of a room by 5-degrees Celsius in less than 10 minutes.

If you choose Fan mode, the AeroTower works like a conventional fan. However, it offers 10 levels of airflow intensity, which should be enough to let you achieve the sweet spot. When switched to Diffusion Mode, the device blows clean, filtered air upward and outward through the AirGuard diffuser for more powerful air circulation.

The AeroTower users LG’s priority Air Valley tech, to create a canyon of air that follows in a certain pattern. Known as the Coanda effect, this results in a consistent breeze that can be felt throughout the room. This tower’s vertical, tapered vanes only emit 23dB of wind noise, which is far quieter than the intrusive drone associated with traditional stand fans.

LG says that the device’s multi-stage HEPA filters can capture 99.97% of different particulates as small as 0.3 microns. This helps to ensure that the air that is blown at you is fairly clean and devoid of dust/debris. Besides this, the AeroTower also uses UVnano tech that shines UV-C light on the fan itself to kill bacteria that collects on its surface.

“Our new PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifying Fan was designed with today’s home lifestyle trend in mind,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG’s Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “Whether its cooling, heating or purifying, this device does it all and looks great while doing it.”

Users can also check the air quality data in the purifier’s LCD display or use the LG ThinQ mobile app. Said app, which is available for both Android and iOS devices can be monitored in real time and settings adjusted even if you’re away from home.

LG’s AeroTower will be on display at the company’s virtual exhibition booth at CES 2022 starting on 5th January.
