Samsung Note 10 features trickle down to S10 line

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are the crème de la crème of the Android smartphone market. These feature packed powerhouses are able to do just about anything, making them the envy of the smartphone world. thankfully, the Korean electronics giant has decided to allow a few of these features to trickle down into the Galaxy S line of phones, namely the S10e, S10, S10+ and S10 5G.

The smartphone maker announced late last month that these new features will be available as an update. Once downloaded, they will instantly have access to a slew of features that were until now, only reserved for the Note 10 line. Now, they will have access to better options in the camera app. Night mode, now includes support for the front facing camera too, making night time selfies a breeze.

That’s not all, there’s also enhanced Super steady video stabilization, as well as support for Galaxy Note 10 specific functions like AR Doodle and Live focus video recording. the former allows users to add augmented-reality drawings and messages to the videos while the latter enables users to added bokeh affects to said videos.

S10 users will be happy to know that video editing functionality has been added to their gallery app. This allows for tailoring of individual videos through the use of simple tools for trimming clips, stitching them together, adjusting playback speed and more. There’s also the ability to add subtitles and background music to clips.

Aside from this, DeX functionality, a feature that grants users the ability to use their smartphone as a full fledged PC, is also available for the latest Galaxy S line devices. Once users download the app from SamsungDeX.com, they will be launch Samsung Dex on their PC or Mac, or connect a Monitor to their device directly for the full PC experience.

Finally, certain apps have also been improved. Samsung Pass’ setup has been simplified, enabling users to better utilize the device’s biometric technologies to log into apps and websites quickly and securely. Samsung says that this provides a better level of versatility and convenience to Galaxy S10 customers.
